## Wedding portraits among the greenery in Philadelphia

Mahmoud & Polina’s wedding collection includes Portico Awbury Arboretum in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This selection stays close to the couple: a seated portrait beneath green leaves, a standing photograph with the bouquet and a wider frame as they raise their joined hands. The light suit and white dress stand out against the foliage and darker doorway.

### Compare a close portrait with the full-length view

Notice how each distance changes what the photograph holds. The seated portrait gives the hands and expressions more space in the frame. In the full-length views, the dress, bouquet and path become part of the composition. These are useful references for discussing how much of a portrait selection should focus on faces and how much should show the setting.
